If the following symptoms are observed in the above vehicle:
The parking heater switches itself off automatically after a short time and the passenger compartment fan switches on. While the motor is running the parking heater functions perfectly as an auxiliary heater.
Error code 1410 “Heating unit overheated” is read out from the OBD error memory for the parking heater.
One reason for this might be a fault in the electrical circulating pump. The flywheel may become separated from the shaft and cause the pump to lose performance. No error entry is made for the circulating pump because the pump motor is running.
In this case, the circulating pump must be checked and replaced if necessary.
Please do this by following the disassembly and reassembly instructions from the vehicle manufacturer.
