The engine warning light illuminates on the vehicles mentioned above due to a defective exhaust gas differential pressure sensor.
A defective exhaust gas differential pressure sensor may become apparent if the engine no longer runs smoothly and/or if the engine warning light illuminates, for example.
If a defective sensor is not replaced, this may lead to consequential damage (including on the DPF, engine, etc.).
Repair note:
Replace differential pressure sensor.

If the sensor has already been replaced in the course of a manufacturer campaign, this is indicated by a sticker in the area of the spare wheel well and documented in the service handbook.
