Structure and function

Modular-designed rear light with optional LED modules for each lighting function

Each function can be operated either with bulbs or LED modules. This allows you to factor in costs and uses flexibly. The modular structure of the light also allows you to replace reflector inserts for bulbs for long-life LED modules easily post-assembly. The individual modules or reflectors are engaged in the lamp housing so that they can be exchanged quickly and easily.

Replaceable lens that can be used on both sides

Regardless of whether you are using bulbs or LED modules, the lens can be replaced quickly and cost-effectively in the event of damage – without having to replace the entire light. The light remains functional even with a damaged lens.

Post-assembly implementation of special functions

The freely-assignable plug plus optional integration of an additional distributor in the system allows any conceivable special function to be realised without problem post-assembly too – this makes intervention into the lighting system unnecessary. This provides maximum functional safety for the required lighting functions – with diverse options for enhancement with special features.

Optimal protection for plug connections

By using high-quality materials and the latest processing techniques, functioning of plug connections is assured, even in the toughest conditions. The new 2- and 7-pin plugs angled downwards combined with the cover offer an optimal system together; it offers absolute functional reliability in all weather and usage conditions.

Note during installation

A special mounting spray was developed for installing the lights and connectors that is 100% silicone free. It protects and insulates all electronic and electromechanical components permanently against leakage currents, short circuits and corrosion caused by splashes and condensation, flooding or high humidity. Furthermore, rubber seals remain supple and do not brittle. This allows easy removal of connectors even after long periods of use. The spray can be purchased under part number 9XH 340 730-007 from Hella Trailer Systems.
