Remlicht brandt continu

Als het bovengenoemde probleem wordt vastgesteld, wordt dit mogelijk veroorzaakt door een defecte kogelkop van het rempedaal.

Als de bestuurder het rempedaal onbedoeld omhoog duwt, kan de remlichtschakelaar (afbeelding pos. 2) door een defecte kogelkop continu ingeschakeld blijven (afbeelding pos. 1).

Hierdoor kan het remlicht continu aan blijven.

Oplossing:

Het pedaalmechanisme (rempedaal) in een erkende werkplaats controleren en het indien nodig volledig laten vervangen volgens de instructies van de fabrikant.

De voertuigfabrikant heeft dit probleem al onderkend en de eigenaren van de betreffende voertuigen op de hoogte gesteld. Het is echter aannemelijk dat dit probleem om diverse redenen niet bij alle voertuigen is gecontroleerd of verholpen.
