HELLA offers its customers approximately 2000 brake calipers. Currently, this range comprises around 500 new parts without deposit and around 1,400 remanufactured brake calipers. The approximately 500 brake callipers that are available as new parts without a deposit are also available as replacement brake callipers. The range of these new callipers covers all the big movers in the European vehicle fleet
In the light of growing demand amongst end consumers for repairs appropriate to the market value of their vehicles, garages and drivers are increasingly looking to reconditioned parts such as our brake calipers as attractive alternatives. This growing interest in remanufactured parts can be explained by such factors as a larger proportion of older vehicles on the road and their longer overall useful life. Apart from this, ecological concerns are playing an increasingly significant role. For it is undeniable that the remanufacturing of replacement parts can save valuable resources and help to protect the environment.
When it comes to the products’ safety, however, HELLA takes no short cuts. Regardless of whether it’s a new or remanufactured part, safety standards remain constantly high and demanding.
The remanufacturing process is therefore subject to precisely defined procedures and standards. For example, all safety-related components and rubber parts are fully replaced. The remaining components are all reworked. This means that a remanufactured replacement brake caliper from HELLA meets the highest safety and quality requirements.

HELLA’s return conditions for remanufactured brake callipers with core deposit (only applicable within Europe):
Not all used parts are suitable. To successfully recondition used brake callipers, the substance of the workpiece must be in good condition. Damaged or incomplete brake callipers, for example, do not
meet this requirement
Please use the list below to check the condition and quality of used brake callipers before returning them:
- The used part must match the purchased product.
- The used part must be complete.
- All calliper guides, connection and vent threads and fastenings must be present.
- The used part must not show any excessive damage due to corrosion.
- The used part must not be cracked or mechanically processed.
- Only used parts that are suitable for remanufacturing can be taken back and credited
If the used part fulfils the specified return criteria, please observe the points below before returning it:
- A deposit credit is only possible if the used part is returned in its original packaging.
- The label on the packaging must not be removed, soiled or labelled.
- No deposit credit will be issued for used parts that are not entitled to a deposit.
