Convert the clever way with the De-Minimis programme

20-05-2019

The transport sector has been given targeted funding for goods transportation. You can apply before 30 September 2019 via the designated programme. The parts programme is called De-Minimis. Harmonisation funding supports expenses related to safety and environmental protection. There is funding available for investments that affect a fleet's overall efficiency and for measures specific to people or vehicles. This sounds abstract, which means that it's often unclear what is covered, such as converting to LED light.

Advantages of LEDs recognised by the state
Because if you convert your lorry or trailer to LED, you are carrying out a "vehicle-specific measure", and you have fulfilled an important funding criteria. Furthermore, LED light has a positive effect on road safety and on the environment, so it fulfills another important De-Minimis provision, because LED headlamps are not only brighter and illuminate the road better, they also require a lot less energy. What's more, their durability is an important factor for safety and environmental protection.

Large range of products from HELLA
Almost all LED products from HELLA can be funded, particularly work lamps, reverse lamps and high beam headlamps. There's even money for small LED components, such as beacons, clearance lamps and license plate lamps, and even interior lamps with or without movement sensors. This is how you get the subsidy
All road haulage companies whose vehicles are licensed in Germany can apply for the subsidy through De-minimis. Important: You only receive the measure for lorries, trailers and semi-trailers that have a permissible total weight of at least 7.5 tonnes. Up to 80 percent of the eligible expenses will be subsidised. The amount is limited to max. EUR 2000 per vehicle. The highest amount each company can be awarded is EUR 33,000 per calendar year. The advantage is that the application can be filed before the supported measure is actually performed. You only have to commission them when De-minimis has decided on the funding. The subsidy is billed and paid when proof of use has been supplied.
