Invalid steering-angle sensor signal
If the fault described above occurs together with the listed error codes, a possible cause may be a faulty calibration of the steering-angle sensor.
Remedy:
In order to exclude other sources of the problem, first check the periphery of the steering-angle sensor.
If no fault is found here, a calibration of the steering-angle sensor needs to be performed.
To do this, proceed as follows:
- Carry out a query of the error memory and delete any error codes
- Carry out an initialization drive (suitable test track): Bring the steering to a straight-ahead position and drive the vehicle at a speed of approx. 20 km/h until the ESP warning light goes out.
