SEG-Tool PLUS: To ensure that the headlamp adjustment works properly.

The SEG-Tool PLUS combines precise analogue headlamp adjustment with well-designed handling – from quick alignment to the reliable testing of a wide variety of light distributions.

Not every headlamp is fitted in the same way. The fit still has to be right, though.

The SEG-Tool PLUS, with its large working area and precise alignment, ensures reliable adjustment across a range of vehicle types.

Analogue headlamp adjustment, focusing on the essentials

The SEG-Tool PLUS is designed for the precise adjustment of headlamps on various types of vehicle. The large Fresnel lens, the working range of up to 1,650 mm and the precise laser alignment help the user to position the device quickly and accurately in front of the vehicle.

Thanks to the aluminium column with a counterweight and the ball-bearing guide rollers, the height of the optics box can be adjusted smoothly and continuously. The analogue measurement principle, combined with a digital lux meter, requires no software or licensing process and is immediately available for headlamp alignment.

From positioning to correct adjustment

The SEG-Tool PLUS guides the user through the headlamp alignment process using a clear and straightforward step-by-step procedure. First, the device is positioned in front of the vehicle and aligned with the vehicle’s longitudinal axis using the green line laser.

The optical unit can then be easily raised to the correct headlamp height using the counterweight and positioned precisely with the cross-line laser. The light distribution is assessed using a Fresnel lens, a test screen and a digital lux meter. The settings are then adjusted in accordance with the relevant vehicle or manufacturer’s specifications.

Four steps to precise headlamp alignment

Step 1: Position the device
The SEG-Tool PLUS is rolled up to the front of the vehicle and aligned with the vehicle’s longitudinal axis using the green 120° line laser. This creates the right starting point for further adjustments.

Step 2: Aligning the optical box
Thanks to the aluminium column with a counterweight, the headlight housing can be adjusted smoothly and continuously to the correct headlight height. The green cross-line laser helps to position it precisely in front of the relevant headlamp.

Step 3: Assessing light distribution
The light distribution is visualised using a Fresnel lens and a test screen, and can also be assessed using a digital lux meter. This provides the user with a clear basis for the subsequent configuration.

Step 4: Adjusting lamps
The adjustment is carried out in accordance with the relevant vehicle or manufacturer’s specifications, based on the visible light distribution. You can then check straight away how the adjustment affects the light distribution.

Even wide light distributions remain clearly in view.

Even wide light distributions remain clearly in view.

Some modern headlamp systems utilise wider and more varied light distributions. To ensure that these can be reliably assessed and correctly adjusted, the relevant light distribution must be recorded as comprehensively as possible.

This is exactly where the 280 × 200 mm Fresnel lens The SEG-Tool PLUS really shows its strengths. It offers a generous field of view, thereby facilitating a clear assessment even with wide or diffused light distributions. Changes made during adjustment are immediately visible and can be readily understood.

For the user, this means: less uncertainty when it comes to modern headlamp systems and a reliable basis for the actual adjustment. You can keep an eye on the entire light distribution – for precise and controlled headlamp adjustment.

SEG Tool PLUS

When headlights aren’t always at the same height.

From cars and SUVs to pick-ups, vans and camper vans, there are significant differences in vehicle height and the mounting position of the headlights. A headlamp alignment tool must therefore be flexible enough to adapt quickly to different vehicles.

With a Working range up to 1,650 mm The SEG-Tool PLUS provides the necessary flexibility for this. The headlamp housing can be adjusted continuously to the required headlamp height via the aluminium column. The built-in counterweight assists the movement, making height adjustment smooth and controlled.

This is particularly beneficial when different vehicles are frequently used in succession during the course of a working day: The user can quickly adjust the working height to suit their needs, without having to exert unnecessary effort or go through a fiddly readjustment process. This turns great flexibility into a very practical advantage – greater convenience and a quicker start to the actual headlamp adjustment.

SEG Tool PLUS

Precision starts with the right position.

To ensure that the headlights are correctly aligned, the alignment tool must also be correctly positioned in relation to the vehicle and the headlight in question. It is at this stage that the reliability of the subsequent assessment and recruitment is determined.

The SEG-Tool PLUS therefore supports the user by two clearly visible green lasers. The 120° line laser makes it easier to align the device with the vehicle’s longitudinal axis. The cross-line laser then helps to position the optical unit precisely in front of the centre of the headlamp.

The added value lies in a clear and transparent process: Rather than having to determine the position solely by eye and making repeated adjustments, the lasers provide direct visual guidance. This saves time during the preparation stage and provides a reliable starting point before the actual recruitment process begins.

SEG Tool PLUS: Technology that makes everyday working life easier.

Technology that makes everyday working life easier.

The SEG-Tool PLUS deliberately employs an analogue measuring principle that is easy to understand. The light distribution is assessed using a Fresnel lens and a test screen, supplemented by a digital lux meter. No software or licensing procedures are required for operation – the basic measurement and adjustment functions are immediately available.

The device is also designed for everyday use in terms of its ease of handling.Three smooth-running TPU rollers make it easier to position the vehicle, whilst the foot pedal locks the column rotation in place if necessary. The infinitely variable height adjustment with a counterweight also makes it easy to switch between different headlamp positions.

For the user, this means, above all, less time spent on tasks unrelated to the actual work. Position, align and configure the device – without any additional software steps or ongoing licence costs. This ensures that the focus remains where it should be with the SEG-Tool PLUS: on precise and straightforward headlamp alignment.
