BMW 1 Series/3 Series/4 Series - Unpleasant odour in the vehicle interior / passenger compartment (fuel smell)

In this repair case, the customer complains of an unpleasant odour (fuel smell) in the vehicle interior / passenger compartment.

 

The cause of the above-mentioned problem is a leaky fuel line.

 

Remedy: Replace the fuel line in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.

 

After completion of the repair work, it is essential to check the fuel supply system and all connections for leaks before starting the engine and driving off.
