If the problem described above occurs during start-up and braking, clogged and contaminated drain valves (figure 2/3), at the driver's door in this case, may be the cause.

Any water that enters through the gap between the side window and the rubber lip (figure 1) cannot drain and collects in the lower door area.

Remedy:

Remove the door trim panel according to the manufacturer's specification. If necessary, dry and clean the interior of the door.

Carefully loosen and remove the drain valves using a plastic mounting lever (allow the water to drain).

Treat and preserve any damage caused by corrosion.

Clean the drain valves or replace them if necessary.

Note:

Check the drain valves at the remaining doors and replace them as described above if necessary.
