We have good news for you: The software update with version 79 is now available for your mega macs diagnostic devices.
Alongside numerous additional manufacturers and brands, the update provides valuable new functions and optimisations for the car and motorbike segment. We have summarised all the details and new features of version 79 here to provide a comprehensive overview in one document.
mega macs X and mega macs S 20: "Plug & Diagnose" thanks to automatic VIN recognition
As soon as the diagnostic device is connected via the OBD interface, vehicle identification starts automatically in the background – without any intervention by the mechanic. If the system recognises a valid VIN (vehicle identification number), a blue button appears in the VCI symbol in the status bar. One click is all it takes to confirm – and the vehicle is then selected. Faster. More intuitive. Error-free.
FURTHER OPTIMISATIONS IN THE VERSION 79 SOFTWARE
SOFTWARE OPTIMISATIONS
WLAN status at a glance: Direct display of the WLAN connection quality in the status bar of the diagnostic device. This allows you to immediately recognise whether the connection to the mega macs X is stable – for uninterrupted and reliable diagnostics.
VEHICLE GROWTH
Numerous new vehicle models have been integrated with version 79 – including the Ford Transit Custom. All models covered can be found in the complete overview (see the download "Complete overview" above).
MOTORBIKE GROWTH
Listen to this all you bike pros: Our motorbike software just keeps on growing! The Kove, Benda, KL, Malcor and MBP brands are now fully integrated into the system. This expands our manufacturer coverage and offers even more precise diagnostics.
CYBER SECURITY MANAGEMENT
CSM coverage also extended: With immediate effect, all Hyundai vehicles equipped with Cyber Security Management (CSM) will benefit from extended system support – models produced between 2020 and 2024 are now fully covered.
ADAS CALIBRATION
We have also enhanced our ADAS calibration software with numerous improvements and expanded our vehicle coverage with new models and calibration options, including those for the Jeep Avenger (for full details of the ADAS enhancements, see the download "Complete overview" above).
