Adria Mobil inspires with motorhomes

Adria Mobil, based in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, is the second largest manufacturer of caravans and motorhomes in Europe. The company was established 1965 in Yugoslavia and currently employs a 2,121-strong workforce producing around 16,000 leisure-time vehicles annually. Adria Mobil's main market is in Western Europe, where the company generates 99 percent of its turnover. Adria Mobil holds a market share of 6.5 percent and has been part of the French Trigano motorhome group since 2017.

Highest accolade for Adria Supersonic

The Adria Supersonic, Adria Mobil's top-of-the-range integrated motorhome model, has been awarded the prestigious German Design Award 2023. The Supersonic range, based on the Mercedes-Benz platform, was presented at Caravan Salon Düsseldorf in September 2022 and has already received plenty of praise from customers and industry experts.

"The response to the new Adria Supersonic in the media, from Adria dealers and especially from our customers on all markets has been exceptional, with a high volume of orders and very good feedback on the design and finish," Matjaz Grm explains in his role as Adria Mobil Director of Sales & Marketing with responsibility for this project.

The German Design Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the world and enjoys a first-class reputation far beyond this specialist niche. The independent panel echoed the market's positive response and justified the award by stating that the Supersonic range combines "thoughtful, timeless, luxurious design with performance and innovation", thereby promising "an exclusive driving and living experience at the highest level of design and technology".

The vehicle basis for the Adria Supersonic is the Mercedes Sprinter with two or three axles, depending on the variant. The permissible gross weight is 4.5 or 5.5 tonnes. In the interior, customers have a choice of five different styles – even including a vegan variant on request.

The design of the motorhome is based on the latest developments in yacht, living and automotive design and it combines performance and practicality with maximum comfort. The lighting installation also has a special role to play as part of the appearance, underlining the elegant lines with passive LED rows at different levels.

HELLA products shape the appearance

Motorhomes are designed to enable drivers to cover long distances and often unfamiliar routes as safely and comfortably as possible, without them feeling fatigued. Lamps must therefore not only perfectly match the design of the vehicles, but also offer optimal ergonomics. Consequently, the Supersonic series uses proven HELLA products such as the LEDayFlex III LED combination lamp that combines daytime running light, position light and direction indicator light in one module.

When driving in the dark, HELLA Bi-LED low beam and high beam headlamp L 4565 Essential take centre stage. The headlamp modules generate both low beam and high beam lighting and achieve just as excellent illumination close to the vehicle and far ahead.

With this combination of versatile and powerful headlamps, the Supersonic range is already well equipped for most situations. However, should fog, snowfall or rain also obstruct visibility, the vehicles have another option - the HELLA L 4060 LED fog lamps. With their convincing light output, the distinctive and lightweight module headlamps ensure visibility even in the most challenging conditions.

Furthermore, the vehicle has been equipped with HELLA rocker switches, intelligent battery sensors (IBS) as well as a striking and timeless, customised rear lamp.
