Lighting products from FORVIA HELLA set the scene for the new Schmidt sweeper series

The international automotive supplier FORVIA HELLA has equipped a new series of sweepers from Schmidt, a brand of the Aebi Schmidt Group, manufacturer of specialized vehicles for airports and the municipal and agricultural sectors, with several lighting products.

Impressive LED light signature for maximum visibility in urban use

The successor model to the Schmidt Cleango 500 compact sweeper focused primarily on the design of the driver's cab. "Our modular products create a customized appearance on the road," says Christian Mergenmeier, responsible for sales in the municipal vehicle customer segment at FORVIA HELLA.

 

The front of the Cleango 550 is characterized by a unique light signature, consisting of the LED daytime running and position lamps set LEDayFlex. The two module chains consist of six circular, single LED modules with a diameter of around 30 mm, which have been configured into a lighting system in the front of the vehicle. Each individual module contains a high-performance LED. The light distribution is effected by the lentil-shaped, computer-calculated lens. The integrated position light circuit ensures excellent visibility in the dark. Aebi Schmidt also opted for LED low beam and high beam headlamps from FORVIA HELLA as well as the LED direction indicator lamps 55 mm, which are also integrated into the front. This means that the eCleango 550 is ideally equipped for daily cleaning work in city centres - even in the early morning or evening hours.

The customized design is also continued in the rear lighting. Here, the choice fell on lamps from the FORVIA HELLA Shapeline series. These are available with a variety of light functions for the front, side and rear, in many different shapes and in two design lines. The eCleango 550, for example, features the LED tail-stop lamp in a curved, dynamic style design. An additional Shapeline direction indicator is also fitted on the side.

 

The attractive, unique lighting design is rounded off by work lamps from the Modul 70 S-series, the K-LED Blizzard beacon and warning lamps from the BST-series. Together with the redesigned cab, which offers almost 250° all-round visibility thanks to the convex rear window, the lighting concept ensures a safe and modern workplace. The interior is spacious and equipped with an air-suspended driver's seat, from where all control and operating elements are accessible with one hand. The machine bears the seal of the "Healthy Back Campaign" and is available either electrically or with a Euro 6e diesel engine.
