New HELLA S series work lamps: Precision in series

What makes a product a high-quality product? We at HELLA are certain: The answer is expertise, passion and manufacturing based on technological standards! Our new S series work lamp for agricultural machinery, construction machinery, forklifts, trucks, trailers and municipal vehicles shows how this "triad" can look in practice. Precision down to the last millimetre, many years of lighting expertise and a good dollop of love for the product combine to create a perfect lighting solution for use on the roads and in the fields.

To ensure that we can offer you the usual HELLA quality even in the face of increasing demands in the automotive industry, we are investing in Industry 4.0 solutions, such as human-machine interaction: At our site in Großpetersdorf, Austria, we produce the S series on a semi-automated production line. In this way, we are optimising our production processes and so we improve our productivity. This is how we ultimately bring reliable, OEM-quality products to the market that provide greater safety in conditions with difficult visibility.

S series: Work lamps with many options

Thanks to LED technology, S series work lamps provide homogeneous illumination with a colour temperature of around 6,500 kelvin, which is similar to daylight. Compared to halogen devices, the S series scores points for its high efficiency levels. The integrated electronics protect the device against reverse polarity and ensure consistent brightness even at fluctuating operating voltages of 9 to 33 volts. The work lamps are available in round and square, surface-mounted and flush-mounted versions, as well as close-range and long-range illumination. The Modul 70 S series and Power Beam S series headlamps are available in a 1,000 lumen version, as well as a 1,850 lumen version. For an extra touch of individuality, vehicle manufacturers have the option of integrating the relevant company logo into the reflector.

Thanks to the universal and slim design, vehicles can easily and quickly be converted from their existing halogen technology to LED technology. The housing and the lens are made of special plastics, which reduces the weight and provides a high level of corrosion resistance. The new cooling fin design is not only modern but also ensures optimum heat dissipation, which increases the efficiency and lifetime of the work lamps, The integrated thermal management system prevents the threat of overheating in good time and automatically dims the work lamps.
