In case of a defective electronic blower controller, the functioning of individual or of all blower levels could be impacted. The fuses should initially be checked. The controller itself is installed in the passenger footwell area and can be easily uninstalled by removing two screws. Using a circuit diagram and multimeter, it is possible to check with the 3-pin plug of the blower controller in how far the power supply is working.

Should you recognize traces of overheating (image) on the plastic housing, this can already be an indication of a defective controller.
