“Coolant level” warning signal
Despite there being sufficient coolant in the system, the coolant level warning lamp may suddenly illuminate on the vehicles listed above.
Proceed as follows to rectify the problem:
- Check/correct the coolant level
- If the coolant level sensor float (drawing, pos. 2) in the expansion tank is at the same level as the coolant, the sensor may be assumed to be defective. Replace the sensor.
- If the coolant level sensor float is submerged or the float is below the coolant level, the entire expansion tank (drawing, pos. 3) should be replaced.
