Brake fluid

HELLA's extensive product range offers four safety-optimised brake fluids that can be used individually:

  • DOT 3 brake fluid should be used for brake and clutch systems if this is recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
  • DOT 4 brake fluid is recommended for brake and clutch systems with synthetic fluid (including ABS).
  • DOT 4 PRO brake fluid is recommended for all vehicles with modern safety systems such as ESP/ASR.
  • DOT 5.1 brake fluid fulfils the highest demands and is recommended for all vehicles with the latest safety and braking systems.

  • High durability and low wear thanks to excellent viscosity from -40 °C to 100 °C
  • The correct brake fluid for every vehicle (DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4 LV, DOT 5.1, LHM)

Hella brake fluids are available in the following container sizes:

  • 1 piece: DOT 4 20l canister
  • 4 piece: 5l DOT 4 & DOT 4 Pro canister
  • 10 piece: 1l DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4 Pro bottle
  • 24 piece: 0.5l & 0.25l DOT 4 bottle
IMPORTANT

Brake fluid absorbs water over time via hoses, seals, etc., which lowers the boiling point and can impair braking performance. It is therefore important to check the brake fluid regularly and to change the brake fluid at least every two years.

Please only use the fluid specified in the service booklet or on the expansion tank! It is generally recommended to use the brake fluid defined by the vehicle manufacturer.
