When developing HELLA brake pads, the brake disc is inevitably included in the development process as a direct friction partner to the brake pads. HELLA brake discs and HELLA brake pads are therefore perfectly matched in terms of safety, comfort and service lifetime and form an ideal friction pairing.
Our range includes more than 2,500 brake discs. This means that we cover almost 98% of the European vehicle fleet.
In addition to brake discs with an anti-corrosion coating, we also offer high-carbon brake discs with an anti-corrosion coating and two-piece high-carbon brake discs with an anti-corrosion coating. These fulfil the highest demands and, thanks to their weight savings of up to 20%, reduce fuel and energy consumption and noticeably improve vehicle handling due to a lower rotating mass.
In addition, our complete range of rear axle brake discs with integrated wheel bearings and ABS sensors for special vehicle models completes our range of brake discs.
HELLA offers high-strength, highly carburised brake discs specially designed for high-powered electric and hybrid vehicles that offer sports car-level performance but are significantly heavier than sports cars due to their batteries. The increased carbon content ensures optimal braking performance even in extreme situations thanks to its rapid heat dissipation.
The advantages of high-carbon brake discs:
The majority of HELLA brake discs for light commercial vehicles are made of high-carbon grey cast iron and thus have a significantly higher carbon content than normal grey cast iron brake discs. This high carbon content ensures optimum braking performance even in extreme situations thanks to its rapid heat dissipation. This is why brake discs with a high carbon content from HELLA can withstand the toughest loads.
