Kia Sorento I (JC) - Formation of odour in vehicle interior | HELLA

In the case of the above-mentioned vehicles, odours may form in the vehicle interior. In such cases, special attention should be paid to the cabin filter or filter housing.

In order to access the filter, proceed as follows:

• Dismantle glove compartment. To do this, open the glove compartment (Fig. 1) and first unclip it at the bottom. Then pull the glove compartment upwards (Fig. 2)

• Remove the cross brace (Fig. 3) by removing the two screws

• Remove the cover from the filter housing. First unclip the cover (A) at the bottom (Fig. 4)

• Pull out the filter

There is often heavy contamination of the filter housing (Fig. 5), a situation which leads to the formation of odours. Before installing the new filter, thoroughly clean the housing and, if necessary, the surface of the evaporator.
