Skoda Enyaq - Faulty beam setting

In the above-mentioned vehicle type, it may be possible that the headlamps may be incorrectly aligned after maintenance or repair work on the front lighting. Despite the supposedly correct basic setting, the headlamp levelling system does not meet the specifications. This may consequently dazzle other road users.

In these cases, this is caused by automatic headlamp levelling that hadn't been reset to zero prior to adjusting the headlamp basic setting. The corresponding function is in the infotainment menu under "Service menu → Exterior → Headlamps → Light settings".

If headlamp levelling is not reset to zero before adjustment, the headlamps' basic setting is carried out on an incorrect basis. The resulting light pattern therefore deviates significantly from the target state.

This leads to impermissible illumination of the carriageway and increases the risk of dazzling other road users, which represents a considerable hazard.

For this reason, automatic headlamp levelling must be reset to zero beforehand in the above menu to correctly adjust the components. Only then can headlamp basic setting be carried out using a suitable beamsetter as per the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, check it is operating correctly and go for a test drive.
