Hybrid working has many advantages: Employees can decide for themselves where they want to spend most of their working time; they can organise themselves and better balance work and private life. At the same time, hybrid working requires increased coordination efforts: After all, those who work in the office also want to use the time to exchange ideas with colleagues in person. But who plans to be in the office on which days? Can a meeting even take place in person because all participants will be in the office? Who in my building, on my floor is there today? Who would like to exchange ideas over coffee or lunch? What previously had to be organised laboriously by individual chat messages can now be answered with just a few clicks. This is made possible by the Hybrid Work Wizard, a new app in Microsoft Teams in which HELLA has invested to promote social interaction in the new hybrid working world. "With the app, we want to help colleagues get back together in person", explains Felix Willing, Chief Information Officer at HELLA. "Because with the Hybrid Work Wizard they can easily and efficiently arrange joint attendance times in the office or meet for coffee, lunch or after work. The tool is therefore also useful when planning meetings and discussions, as it provides a quick overview of who is in the office and who is not."

All this is possible directly in Microsoft Teams. No new tool needs to be installed for this. The functionality only needs to be set up and configured once, and then it is ready to use at any time.

Hybrid Work Wizard as part of the We CARE Project
A key finding of the 2022 Global Employee Survey was: HELLA does not do enough for its employees in Germany. On behalf of the entire management, HELLA CEO Michel Favre makes it clear: "This should not be the case. We are putting you, our employees, more at the centre of everything we do." Against this background, the 'We CARE' project was launched in January 2023. The goal: Identify and implement measures that effectively address different pain points and provide an attractive working environment.
