​​HELLA and Faurecia have been working together under the FORVIA umbrella for just over a year. Now a unified Microsoft 365 environment ("M365") is being created to make collaboration even easier via M365 apps as well (we reported). To this end, all HELLA users will move to the Faurecia IT environment in the coming weeks and months. The reason behind is: Since HELLA has significantly fewer users and therefore less data to migrate than Faurecia, it makes much more sense to migrate HELLA users to the Faurecia environment.

​All data remain accessible

​A pilot in IT was launched at the beginning of May; from 19 June 2023, all other HELLA accounts worldwide will now be successively moved. Already months ago, preparations for the global migration began in the background. To date, however, HELLA users have noticed little of this. That is changing today. Employees are guided through the first steps via various pop-up windows. The real kick-off will be on 19 June 2023. From then on, users are migrated to the new IT environment in large waves. Each employee receives information from IT at an early stage on the specific date of the move as well as the necessary steps that need to be taken. The migration of the M365 applications should be completed in autumn this year.

​"The important thing is: Throughout the migration, all data remains accessible; everyone can continue to work," assures Felix Willing, Chief Information Officer at HELLA. "What is also clear, however, is: In the transition phase, we need to take additional steps to continue working with colleagues in Microsoft 365. This is because the accounts cannot all be migrated at once. So we will have migrated and non-migrated colleagues at the same time for a certain time period." "Be assured: We will provide you with close IT support during this time," Willing emphasizes. In addition to the special page, there will also be IT talks and additional Q&A sessions on the migration.

​More efficient and effective cooperation

​Once the migration has been completed, the advantages for colleagues worldwide are clear: You no longer need to switch to your Faurecia guest account to chat, call colleagues or collaborate in teams. Sharing and exchanging files will also be much easier when HELLA and Faurecia no longer work in separate SharePoint systems. Last but not least, HELLA and Faurecia IT can join forces to offer an even better IT service. "The journey will be worth it for all of us in the end," says Willing.​​
