Lippstadt, 1 September 2026. Vehicle technology is becoming more complex, so workshops need more than just individual tools. At Automechanika 2026 (Frankfurt, 8–12 September, Hall 9, Stand A 80), HELLA and Hella Gutmann Solutions will showcase under the motto “Perfect Match” how their strengths combine to form an integrated overall offering: HELLA with OE expertise, vehicle technology and a broad spare parts portfolio; Hella Gutmann with diagnostics, data and workshop expertise. Together, they cover the entire repair process – from fault diagnostics and guided service steps to suitable spare parts and seamless documentation. Trade fair premieres include the new diagnostics flagship from Hella Gutmann with AI-supported functions and automated workflows that reduce diagnostic time and take over routine tasks, as well as macsData PRO, a data platform that integrates OEM-compliant vehicle data, service plans and digital processes directly into everyday workshop operations. Also new are the SEG series for the precise adjustment of modern headlamp systems and range extensions in Thermo, Filter, Brake and Lighting.
“The independent aftermarket is undergoing fundamental change. Workshops need not only a broad spare parts range, but integrated solutions that connect technology, data, diagnostics and service. With HELLA and Hella Gutmann, we are creating an ecosystem that combines our OE expertise with practical workshop experience. This strengthens our position as a reliable partner and lays the foundation for further profitable growth in the aftermarket,” says Dr. Marcel Wiedmann, Head of Global Aftermarket Business at FORVIA HELLA.
Trade show premiere of the new diagnostic flagship
0The centerpiece of the trade show presence is the new diagnostic flagship from Hella Gutmann, whose name will be revealed for the first time at Automechanika: powerful hardware, intelligent software and comprehensive vehicle data in a single solution. The previously manual sequence of individual diagnostic steps becomes a guided, consistently structured process – automated workflows take over routine tasks and create more space for actual troubleshooting. In addition, the new fault code view significantly improves user-friendliness, as workshops can identify fault codes more quickly thanks to a clearer display and fewer required clicks.
Central components are AI-supported functions that are not based on generic internet content but make Hella Gutmann’s decades of diagnostic and repair knowledge directly usable – drawing on real diagnostic cases, extensive vehicle and fault data, and the experience of technical experts. “We bring artificial intelligence to where it directly supports workshops: into the ongoing diagnostic process,” says Adnan Cemal, Managing Director of Hella Gutmann Solutions. “In doing so, we combine several intelligent functions under a common approach and link them with data, processes and technical expertise – and show how this translates into concrete solutions for everyday workshop operations.” At Automechanika 2026, Hella Gutmann will provide a first glimpse of these applications.
macsData PRO: Data services for digital and OEM-compliant service processes
In addition, Hella Gutmann will show how macsData PRO brings together data, processes and documentation in everyday workshop operations – accessible on PCs, tablets and smartphones. The platform supports workshops in documenting processes in a traceable manner, saving time and unlocking additional revenue potential in the service and repair process. By linking it with diagnostic solutions and other Hella Gutmann systems, fully digital processes are created – from the first diagnostic step to the completed service history.
Integrated ecosystem: From diagnostics to spare parts
The “Perfect Match” is also evident in the new SEG series, which combines HELLA’s lighting technology expertise with Hella Gutmann’s diagnostics and workshop expertise. The new generation of devices supports workshops in the precise adjustment of modern headlamp systems and will be presented for the first time at Automechanika.
Furthermore, the HELLA portfolio in the independent aftermarket continues to grow consistently: The thermal management range will comprise around 3,500 items for passenger cars and light and heavy commercial vehicles by the end of the third quarter; from the end of the first quarter of 2027, HELLA will offer around 5,500 items as a full-range supplier. The global filter program has been specifically expanded to include commercial vehicle applications and now comprises a total of around 2,000 references. In the brake sector, HELLA is taking another step: With 58 ECE R90-certified references, the company is launching brake pads for trucks, buses and trailers under its own brand for the first time. In addition, the HELLA LED H11 is the first H11 LED retrofit lamp with UNECE R37 homologation to be launched on the market, enabling drivers to switch legally from halogen to LED for the first time – simply, safely and in numerous vehicle models.
The press conference of HELLA and Hella Gutmann Solutions will take place on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, at 2:45 p.m. directly at the exhibition stand (Hall 9, Stand A 80).
