Automechanika 2026: HELLA Continues "Back to Cool" Offensive

• More than 3,600 part numbers in thermal management now available – target: 6,000+ by spring 2027
• Third expansion wave: nearly 1,300 new part numbers, more than 1,100 available immediately
• Portfolio covers engine and air conditioning cooling for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy commercial vehicles

Lippstadt, 8 September 2026. International automotive supplier HELLA Aftermarket, the independent spare parts and workshop business of international automotive supplier FORVIA HELLA, presents the latest stage of its thermal management offensive in the Independent Aftermarket at Automechanika 2026. Since its launch in September 2025, HELLA has consistently expanded its aftermarket thermal management portfolio in three waves: from 900 part numbers at launch, to 1,500 new part numbers in February 2026, through to the latest expansion of nearly 1,300 additional part numbers – including more than 800 for engine cooling and over 440 for air conditioning systems. This means distributors and workshops today have access to more than 3,600 part numbers from a single source. "With the expansion of our thermal management range, we are taking another clear step: we are re-establishing ourselves in the Independent Aftermarket as the leading specialist for complete thermal management systems – with a premium range that convinces through market breadth, quality, innovation and availability," says Thomas Gorkow, Director of Product Management Mechanical Parts IAM, FORVIA HELLA. The goal is to provide a complete portfolio of more than 6,000 part numbers by spring 2027.

Consistent Portfolio Expansion

With the third expansion wave, HELLA is further strengthening its offering in both core segments: engine and vehicle air conditioning cooling, each covering passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy commercial vehicles. Of the 1,256 new part numbers, 1,124 are already available immediately; the remaining 143 references will follow shortly. The market for thermal management components is growing dynamically – and is playing an increasingly critical role in vehicles with combustion, hybrid and electric powertrains alike.

Since market launch, HELLA has consistently committed to the highest quality standards in the thermal management segment. In-house testing laboratories in Germany and China, as well as external facilities, enable new products to be brought to market quickly and without quality compromises. The Easy2Fit concept ensures that all components required for efficient installation are always included in the scope of delivery. Through HELLA Tech World, workshops gain access to a comprehensive online platform with in-depth expert knowledge on modern cooling systems. Combined with the diagnostic expertise of Hella Gutmann Solutions, professionals have all the tools they need for targeted fault diagnosis and repair.

OE Expertise as a Quality Anchor

HELLA benefits from decades of experience as an OE supplier in the field of thermal management and is progressively transferring innovative solutions – developed for vehicle manufacturers – into its aftermarket offering. A central example is the Coolant Control Hub (CCH), which connects the cooling circuits of the battery, drivetrain and vehicle interior, improving efficiency, reducing charging times and increasing the range of electric vehicles. The OE innovation portfolio is complemented by the electronic Valve Actuator (eVA) and the high-performance MPX fluid pump, which directs coolant precisely into the correct circuit of the vehicle – for optimal temperature management of the battery and power electronics. These pioneering OE developments are being progressively transferred into the aftermarket offering as well.
