If the light source has to be replaced in the vehicle specified above, proceed as follows:

disassemble the front apron of the vehicle and remove the headlamp.

Then replace the light source, e.g., H7 as follows:

• remove the cover cap (Figure 1).
• disengage the light source holder (Figure 2).
• remove the defective light source from the connector and insert a light source that is intact (Figure 3).
• engage the light source holder (Figure 4).
• now carry out a function test.
• mount the cover cap (Figure 1).
• mount the headlamp and the front apron.
• adjust the headlamp using a beamsetter.
