Vibrations and noises on the front axle

If the above-mentioned fault is detected, its cause can often be found in connection with the brake pads of the front axle. These vibrations or noises mainly occur when driving takes place on uneven roads and surfaces.

This may lead to the brake pads installed ex-factory knocking against the brake caliper carrier as a result of the construction. If the noise is suppressed by a slight braking action, in this case the brake pads must be checked as part of a diagnostic action and renewed where applicable.
