ABS, airbag.Bilfabrikanten har allerede taget sig af problemet, og brugerne af de berørte biler er underrettet. Man må dog af diverse grunde gå ud fra, at ikke alle biler er blevet kontrolleret eller udbedret.På værkstedet udskiftes den defekte tændingslås i de berørte biler med en ny.

Faulty Ignition Switch

The complaint has been made on the above vehicles that the dashboard lighting fails and the ignition switch malfunctions.

The cause of this problem is a faulty ignition switch, which may lead to contact problems, failure of the dashboard lighting and possibly to the deactivation of various electrical systems such as the ABS and airbag systems.

The vehicle manufacturer has already addressed the issue and notified the owners of all the affected models. For various reasons, however, it must be assumed that not all vehicles have been checked or modified.

The specialist garage will replace the faulty ignition switch with a new one on the vehicles in question.
