Lippstadt, March 15, 2017. HELLA is one of the 100 most important family businesses in Germany. That is the result of a study on behalf of the Foundation for Family Businesses. Over ten years, renowned scientific institutes have regularly analyzed the macro-economic performance data of several hundred German family businesses in this regard. They researched the overall economic significance of the companies - as for example the commitment as responsible employer.
The results of the long-term study underline the value added by the researched companies for Germany. The Foundation for Family Businesses takes this as an occasion to individually award outstanding companies. At the beginning of March, the foundation's CEO, Stefan Heidbreder, visited the HELLA company headquarters in Lippstadt in order to personally submit the official accolade to the managing general partner Dr. Jürgen Behrend in the form of a medal.
"The macro-economic importance of large family businesses has been scientifically proven in many ways. You're the premium class of entrepreneurship", said Stefan Heidbreder, when handing over the award. "HELLA rightfully belongs into this group and has particularly contributed to this country's well-being over many years. We want to thank you for this and reward your efforts."
Dr. Jürgen Behrend was happy to accept the recognition and said: "Entrepreneurial responsibility marks the core of our company philosophy. We are convinced that business success can only be sustained if it is grounded on a values-based culture. We're honored by the award and will use it to motivate ourselves to firmly continue on our path."
