Hella Gutmann Solutions, a leading provider of vehicle diagnostics and workshop equipment, is introducing macsData PRO—a new platform solution for workshops—at Automechanika 2026. The solution combines technical vehicle data, OEM-compliant service schedules, repair manuals, and guided work processes into a single system.

Modern vehicles are becoming increasingly complex. At the same time, the demands on maintenance, documentation, and manufacturer compliance are rising. With macsData PRO, Hella Gutmann helps workshops translate this complexity into structured, efficient, and traceable workflows.

The solution is aimed at independent repair shops that want to digitize their service processes, increase their efficiency, and document their work in a traceable manner. macsData PRO is now available in two licensing models tailored to different requirements and can be used on PCs, tablets, and smartphones.

From Data Portal to Process Assistant

With macsData PRO, Hella Gutmann Solutions is taking a decisive step from simply providing information to actively supporting workshop processes.

Unlike traditional data portals, macsData PRO not only provides information but also guides workshops through recurring service and maintenance processes. Relevant data, work instructions, and documentation steps are available exactly when they are needed in the workflow.

Workshops gain direct access to service schedules, labor rates, repair manuals, and manufacturer-compliant maintenance documentation. Integrated labor rates help make service cost calculations more transparent and enable more cost-effective planning of workshop operations.

A key feature of the platform is the automatic, OEM-compliant digital vehicle history. Completed maintenance work, including notes and images, is documented digitally, traceably, and permanently. This enables workshops to create a complete vehicle history and meet documentation requirements much more easily.

For select brands and markets, service entries can be transferred directly to OEM service portals without the need for a separate manufacturer login. This reduces administrative effort, saves time, and minimizes disruptions in day-to-day workshop operations. At the same time, direct access to the official service history from the manufacturer’s portal provides a transparent overview of maintenance and service work that has already been performed.

Two licensing models for different workshop requirements

macsData PRO is available in two versions. The Data License PRO 1 forms the digital foundation for service processes. It includes service data and technical specifications, service plans with guided workflows, work values for service and repairs, and integrations with selected DMS and parts catalog systems. Access to the digital OEM service manual is also included.

The Data License PRO 2 expands the feature set to include dynamic schematics and diagrams with component search, component location mapping, as well as high-voltage, electric vehicle, and hybrid data. Fault code translations, known fault patterns, and ADAS and lighting data are already planned for future versions. The platform is continuously being developed in terms of both technology and content.

Seamlessly integrated into the Hella Gutmann ecosystem

macsData PRO is part of the connected Hella Gutmann ecosystem. Diagnostics, technical information, service processes, and documentation are seamlessly integrated and support workshops throughout the entire repair and service process.

For example, if a vehicle is identified on the mega macs PRO, work can continue directly in macsData PRO without having to reselect or re-enter vehicle data. This saves time, avoids duplicate steps, and creates a seamless digital workflow that actively reduces the workload for repair shops as vehicle complexity increases.
