Lippstadt, 6 August 2026. FORVIA, a global leader in automotive technology, will unveil its strategy and ambitions to further accelerate growth in the Commercial Vehicle Industry (CVI) at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover (Germany). With its integrated approach, combining the complementary strengths of FORVIA Faurecia and FORVIA HELLA, the FORVIA Group aims to support OEMs and fleet operators in addressing the critical challenges of the commercial vehicle industry: decarbonization, digitalization, safety, and cost efficiency.
Backed by a uniquely comprehensive portfolio, a strong global footprint and FORVIA HELLA’s more than 50 years of experience in this market segment, serving several hundred customers, the Group is strategically well positioned to deliver high-performance solutions tailored to the specific needs of customers and markets worldwide. FORVIA will showcase its broadest-ever range of technologies for commercial vehicles from September 14 to 20 at its booth, in Hall 12 (Stand 36).
Under the IGNITE strategy unveiled at its Capital Markets Day in February this year, FORVIA is positioning commercial vehicles as a key growth platform, further scaling from two percent of Group sales to a significant business. Moving forward, FORVIA’s objective is to double its CVI sales revenues by 2030 and make the segment a meaningful contributor to growth for the entire Group. In line with this, Seating is targeting around 10 percent of its revenue from CVI by 2030, strengthening diversification beyond passenger cars and supporting IGNITE’s broader goal of profitable, balanced growth.
Martin Fischer, CEO of FORVIA says: “At FORVIA, through our IGNITE strategy, we are accelerating our expansion into commercial vehicles with a clear ambition: to become the long-term partner of choice for OEMs and fleet operators. We design technologies for real-world performance – enhancing uptime, durability and total cost of ownership across the vehicle lifecycle. With proven industrial reliability and a strong local-for-local footprint, we give our customers the confidence and innovation they need in the most demanding CVI environments.”
According to Prof. Dr. Peter Laier, CEO of FORVIA HELLA: "The commercial vehicle business has long been a strategically important growth market for us, and we are expanding it with long-term commitment, notably through our IGNITE strategy. What sets us apart is our dedicated organization for the CVI segment, with designated development and product management. Together with our global production network and plants in Europe, Asia and the Americas, we offer our customers the local support, reliability and innovation they need throughout the entire vehicle lifecycle. At IAA Transportation, we demonstrate both the breadth of that portfolio and the tangible value it delivers.”
The press conference with Martin Fischer (CEO of FORVIA) and Peter Laier (CEO of FORVIA HELLA) will take place on September 14, 2026, from 14.40-15.00 hrs, at the FORVIA booth, Hall 12, Stand 36, Deutsche Messe Hanover (Germany).
Comprehensive portfolio from five Business Groups
At IAA Transportation 2026, FORVIA will highlight advanced solutions addressing the industry’s key priorities: safety, comfort, lightweighting, sustainable materials, zero-emission mobility and total cost of ownership.
ELECTRONICS FOR NEW VEHICLE ARCHITECTURES AND ENHANCED VEHICLE SAFETY
77 GHz Radar: Designed for the specific demands of commercial vehicles, delivering outstanding precision across all driving conditions, detecting vehicles, pedestrians and road boundaries with high accuracy, supporting advanced driver assistance systems and prepares vehicles for higher levels of automation, combining long-range detection, robust performance and seamless integration across multiple vehicle platforms; built on a scalable architecture ready for future automation requirements.
Intelligent Power Distribution Module (iPDM): Based on intelligent electronic fuses (eFuses), the concept demonstrates how next-generation power distribution could look like: enabling continuous power monitoring to detect and mitigate failures at an early stage, supporting fail-operational power supply for safety-critical vehicle functions, increase system reliability while helping to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), facilitating scalable and software-defined E/E architectures with reduced wiring complexity.
Advanced energy management solutions: A comprehensive energy management portfolio for commercial vehicles, combining proven series-production technologies with future concepts for highly integrated electrical architectures, including Intelligent Battery Sensors, High Voltage DC/DC Converter and the X-in-1 EnergyCore Concept.
Interior Monitoring System: a comprehensive solution combining Driver Monitoring System (DMS) and Occupant Monitoring System (OMS) leveraging camera(s) and interior radar with data fusion, supporting compliance with GSR2 and NCAP standards in a cost-effective package.
e-Mirror (Camera Monitoring Solution): a mature solution for commercial vehicles delivering improved aerodynamics and driving range, reduced total cost of ownership (TCO), enhanced safety and visibility; built on a scalable platform, with up to 20 percent cost reduction at entry level; cost-competitive alternative to conventional mirrors
ADVANCED SEATING SOLUTIONS: ENHANCING SAFETY AND DRIVER WELL-BEING
Powered Heavy-Duty Seat: The most advanced and integrated seat in FORVIA’s portfolio, combining premium comfort and wellness features with a software-based architecture and belt-in-seat integration
