Elegant shape, high performance: The HELLA Flat Beam 500 LED work lamp impresses with its modern, extremely low-profile design and its low power consumption of 7 watts.

 

The housing depth of the compact headlamp is just 31 mm, making the Flat Beam 500 well suited for confined mounting situations and enabling flexible application, such as on truck rear walls. The special lens directs the light beams at a 45° angle to the floor, even when mounted on a flat wall, so that the work area is optimally illuminated at all times.

 

The 30 energy-efficient LEDs provide 550 lumens of light output, ensuring homogeneous illumination of the work area. The daylight-like light colour prevents eye fatigue.

 

The multi-voltage-capable electronics have overvoltage and polarity reversal protection, and ensure constant brightness even in the event of fluctuating operating voltage.

 

The Flat Beam 500 LED is dustproof, waterproof, and high-pressure jet cleaner resistant. The lightweight and robust plastic housing is completely corrosion-resistant and ideal for use in tough working conditions.

Energy management at the highest level: The intelligent battery sensors (IBS) from HELLA do just that. They measure battery variables such as current, voltage, and temperature. The measured values provide information on the state of charge (SOC), aging (SOH), as well as the expected starting capability (SOF) of the battery. The intelligent battery sensors therefore permanently monitor key parameters and provide early warning of a weak or defective battery.

 

The HELLA IBS are designed to fit perfectly around the negative terminal of the battery. The mounting control is done via the pole terminal. As a measuring resistor for indirect current measurement, the shunt component of the battery sensors is attached to the vehicle’s load path, while the existing ground cable can simply be attached to the earthing bolt. The IBS electronics are located in a cast housing with a plug connector. Communication with the higher-level control unit related to the battery’s energy status is done via the LIN protocol.

There are two variants of the intelligent battery sensor available. Sensor 1 is the basic version. When monitoring a second battery, sensor 2 is used in the same communication network. A battery pole for screwing on (battery pole adapter) can be ordered as an optional accessory.

Pretty smart: The HELLA Smart Universal Rotary Actuator (Smart URA) offers a broad field of applications even under demanding conditions. Thanks to innovative HELLA CIPOS® technology, it enables precise and reliable position control and is used, for example, in valve control systems in the cooling circuit.

 

The Smart URA detects the position of the output gear and constantly calculates its position via the integrated electronics using an ASIC. Thanks to the “True Power” function, the actuator can also cover angle ranges smaller than 180°. This enables immediate commissioning without prior calibration. The operating angle range is flexible and allows up to eight revolutions. The electric rotation can be to the left or to the right. In operation, the actuator carries out controlled movement to the programmed positions. Due to the self-locking gear, positions can be held at a very low current consumption of < 25 mA. The HELLA Smart URA has an integrated error memory with corresponding feedback signals.
