Use of cookies

Information about cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your device when visiting a web page to help identify your device in the process. Cookies are used to store information when you visit various pages of a web page or when you return to a web page. Cookies do not contain any personal information and cannot execute programmes that may activate a virus.
The legal basis is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a), GDPR. Our interest is based on the analysis, operation and optimisation of our web page.

Necessary:
Cookies in this category are stored on the visitor's device so that the web page can operate as intended.

Performance:
Cookies in this category are used to collect statistics about persons visiting the web page with the aim of improving the experience of the visit. The information collected is, in most cases, anonymous and is used to create profiles that serve as the basis for web statistics, such as the number of visitors and sessions.
In some cases, information is processed that can be used to identify the user. This is the case when the user's IP address is read in order to determine their approximate location (country, city, district). This functionality is implemented to find the nearest wholesalers to the user offering relevant HELLA products.
The geolocalisation service operates on the basis of a database that is located exclusively on HELLA servers. The database processes the user's IP address and then converts it into the user's geolocation. The IP address is gathered but not stored in any way. Any data is used internally by HELLA and is not passed on to third parties.

Web analytics:

This web page uses Piwik PRO Cloud, a web analytics service provided by Piwik PRO GmbH. Piwik PRO Cloud uses cookies – text files saved on your computer or smartphone to help us analyse how visitors use the web page. The information collected by the cookies about web page use by visitors is stored and processed by Piwik on servers in Germany.
The IP addresses are completely anonymised before we can view the collected data in the Piwik suite. It is not possible to reverse the anonymisation of the IP addresses or to match the IP addresses to the collected data.

We use this information to evaluate the behaviour of visitors to our web page, create corresponding reports and ultimately improve the experience of web page visitors. Piwik will not share this information with third parties or use it for marketing or advertising purposes of any kind.

Functional:
This type of cookie enables the web page to remember the user's preferences and choices made in the past. They help us to offer the user personalised functions by saving certain settings across sessions. These include the selected language, search settings, preferred manufacturers, the most recently selected vehicles and the shopping basket in our HELLA PARTNER WORLD web shop. These cookies only collect and store anonymised information.

Google Ads Conversion

This HTW web page uses Google Ads Conversion to analyse the performance of Google ads. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Republic of Ireland.
We use conversion tracking to measure the appeal of our Google adverts that redirect to our web page. If you click on a Google ad, a conversion cookie will then be placed on your device. The cookie helps us to analyse data, e.g. if a conversion has taken place, and also to determine how successful an ad campaign has been. These conversion cookies expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally.

Google Remarketing

This web page uses the remarketing function to display interest-based, personalised advertising on other web pages within the Google advertising network. This service is also provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Republic of Ireland.
This advertising function is based on analysing the interests of users of our web page. It allows us to position targeted ads to users who have previously visited our web page. A cookie with a sequence of numbers, also known as a unique ID, is stored on your device. This number is only used to identify a web browser; personal data is not stored. If you visit a third-party web page that also uses the Google advertising network, you may be shown advertisements that refer to our web page.
In addition, Google provides further information on its data protection practices at
https://services.google.com/sitestats/en.html

Adspirit does not pass this information on to any other web page. For more information see the Adspirit Privacy Policy.

LinkedIn Insight Tag

Our web page uses the "LinkedIn Insight Tag" conversion tool from the LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. This tool creates a cookie in your web browser, which enables the collection of the following data among others: IP address, device and browser properties and page events (e.g. page views). This data is encrypted, anonymised within seven days and then this anonymised data is deleted within 90 days. LinkedIn does not share any personal data with HELLA, but offers anonymised reports on the web page target group and display performance.
