The spare part program for starters and alternators consists of parts for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and agricultural and construction machinery. The range spans from remanufactured spare parts to deposit-free units and original spare parts (OE parts). Here, HELLA sets the highest quality benchmarks in all three product ranges. Customers in Germany now benefit from a three-year warranty on every starter and alternator - remanufactured or as an OE part.

An increasing number of final consumers desire needs-based car repair. The passenger car aftermarket and garages can meet this need with remanufactured spare parts. HELLA has 2,000 remanufactured starters and alternators alone in its product line, which cover more than 90 percent of all European vehicles. The quality, reliability and performance of the products are crucial for customers. At the HELLA competence center in Illingen-Saarbrücken, experts disassemble each part in accordance with OE specifications, overhaul the components and replace all wear parts. Here, components that have proven to be fault-prone in their first life are replaced by more high-quality parts. Then, employees use state-of-the-art test equipment to check the starters and alternators with regard to their OE set values. HELLA supplies the starters and alternators only when the units that have been remanufactured in this way correspond to the specifications.
