Experience LED airfield lighting live at Airport Day

Lippstadt, Germany, April 24, 2015. Experience airfield lighting live and discuss industry trends – lighting professionals from international airports met on Thursday, April 23, at HELLA’s corporate headquarters to learn more about the lighting expert’s portfolio of innovative and economical LED airfield lights.

 

International trade visitors from Canada, Dubai, France and Egypt will experience HELLA’s products in an “interactive marketplace”. A discussion on “Visions of the future – new technologies and developments in airfield lighting” will give visitors the chance to exchange ideas and experiences with HELLA’s Airport Lighting team. The special focus will be “Intelligent Safety Systems”, which combine the tasks of monitoring and controlling light on runways and taxiways into a comprehensive system.

 

During a production tour the participants can observe how the products are manufactured and see for themselves the high quality materials that are used. But how does LED light look in practice? In a light testing facility the HELLA team will demonstrate LED airfield lighting systems in direct comparison to conventional halogen lights.

 

HELLA’s portfolio of LED products includes elevated lights and in-pavement lights for runways, taxiways and signage. The company is currently working on several large projects in the Middle East, North America and Europe.
