Lippstadt, August 21, 2017. Following the motto "No Safe Working Without Good Visibility", the new HELLA Q90 compact LED work light ensures optimal visibility conditions in modern agricultural technology. Especially during harvest season, when combines, shredders or grubbers are active almost non-stop, drivers must rely on good light. This is the only way to work, both, safely and productively. The new compact work light Q90 compact LED of the Thermo Pro series by HELLA provides for optimal visibility thanks to its even, homogenous illumination.

Simply safer in front and rear areas

The new work lights are an ideal light source in the front and rear areas of harvesting and forestry machines. The strong light performance of 1,200 lumen is one strong indicator. Especially developed multi-facet reflectors distribute the light homogeneously across the work area. This helps providing drivers with optimally even light conditions, significantly increasing work comfort.

At 6,500 Kelvin color temperature, the light closely resembles daylight and facilitates sensory and contrast perception to the human eye while preventing fatigue in drivers. Throughout, every headlamp only consumes 15 watts, which is therefore less than a third of the energy consumed by average halogen lamps.

Conceived for continuous operation in a demanding work environment

The specially developed plastic material of the Thermo Pro series by HELLA boasts similar thermal conductivity properties to aluminum. This enables LED operation also at great energy supply levels, without however overheating. Furthermore, the Thermo Pro series impresses with a considerably lower weight and improved vibration behavior. By using plastic housings instead of the more vulnerable aluminum, products withstand the roughest conditions and corrosion is a thing of the past.

Especially in agriculture and forestry, work conditions make a lot of demands on technology. Long operating hours, impacts and shocks are everyday occurrences. HELLA therefore subjects all products to comprehensive quality tests. These tests and experiences during practical applications show that the Q90 compact LED also fully withstands the special requirements regarding illumination, stability, dirt and moisture resistance (protection class IP 6K9K and IP 6K8). A long service life is ensured.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the Q90 compact LED can be even mounted at positions where there's little space. Ideal mounting positions are for example the entrance area or contorted areas of the vehicle cabin. An additional plus: the specially developed electronics are multi-volt suitable and provide constant light outputs of 9-33 volts even at volatile supply voltages.

The Q90 compact LED is available in two different illumination types. The proven close-range illumination (996 284-002 and 996 284-081) is wide-angle and suitable for object illumination around the vehicle. The long-range illumination (996 284-012 and 996 284-091) is however equipped with a clear cover lens and provides perfect distance visibility.
