FORVIA HELLA successfully places promissory note loan totalling €200 million

  • Transaction was significantly oversubscribed and was initially increased from €100 million to €200 million
  • Promissory note loan serves to refinance a bond maturing in May 2024

Lippstadt, 18 March 2024. HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA ("FORVIA HELLA") has successfully placed a promissory note loan in the amount of €200 million. The transaction was significantly oversubscribed and was initially increased from €100 million to €200 million. The promissory note loan was issued in different tranches with terms of three, five and seven years with fixed and variable interest payments. The allocation was made at the lower end of the interest premium offered in each case. The funds from the promissory note loan will be used in particular to refinance a bond maturing in May 2024.

Bernard Schäferbarthold, CEO: "We are pleased that we have been able to further strengthen our already good financing structure with this successful transaction. This provides the necessary financial degrees of freedom in a persistently challenging, volatile market environment. Supported by our investment grade rating, we were able to attract a broad investor base and issue the promissory note loan without financial covenants." Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen Girozentrale and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg acted as lead arrangers for the transaction.
