Radar-Based Turning Assistant

With the integration of a radar-based driver assistance system into the exterior mirrors of agricultural machinery, FORVIA HELLA is setting new standards in safety and innovation. The system detects overtaking vehicles from a distance of up to 80 meters and warns the driver immediately – a decisive advantage when turning left on rural roads, where limited visibility and blind spots often lead to serious accidents.

Thanks to radar technology, the classic exterior mirror becomes an intelligent safety assistant: the field of vision is significantly expanded and safety is increased significantly – especially when turning left. If the system detects a vehicle in the blind spot, a clearly visible warning signal appears directly in the mirror.

Thanks to its manufacturer independent and modularly scalable design, the radar based turn assistant can be easily integrated into new vehicle platforms.
