The new HELLA headquarters will be called "CELLS - Center for Electronics, Lighting & Lifecycle Solutions". This is the final result of the ideas competition, which ended on 8 September with the vote on the top 10 proposals submitted. A total of more than 1,500 votes were cast out of the global HELLA workforce, with almost 30 percent of all participants voting for the winner and around 17 percent for the second-placed proposal. The name was announced for the first time at yesterday's works meeting for the Lippstadt location on 17 September.

"The results of the vote speak a clear language. From the many strong proposals we received in the ideas competition, a clear winner emerged in the end," says site manager Matthias Wiehen. "I am thrilled that we now have a name that on the one hand shows what we as HELLA stand for with our business activities and on the other hand is extremely memorable and catchy."

This is also reflected in the logo, which was created in-house especially for the new name: with a capital C referring to center and CELLS as well as with the implied HELLA line, which was the starting point for the architectural concept. For the site concept and further communication, the name CELLS and the associated logo will now represent a central, visually unifying element.

Meanwhile, the realisation of the site concept continues to progress. For example, the old townhouses on Rixbecker Straße are currently being demolished and the detailed planning for the first two buildings is being worked out in concrete terms on the basis of the needs assessed. Demolition of the old production halls, on the site of which the new building will essentially be built, is scheduled for autumn or winter of this year; groundbreaking for the first structural measures is to take place in mid-2024.
