February 7, 2024 is FORVIA Day: Two years ago, HELLA and Faurecia joined forces. With the FORVIA Integration Excellence Award, outstanding achievements resulting from the teams’ close cooperation and commitment are now being honored for the first time.

Under the umbrella of FORVIA, HELLA and Faurecia are working ever more closely together. Over the past two years, a common culture has gradually developed that is supported by a clear vision, a concise mission and strong shared values. These values are now the focus of this year's FORVIA Day: All FORVIA teams worldwide are invited to talk about the values (click here for the workshop document): How can we live the values in everyday life; which projects, which team achievements express the values? Both the FORVIA Day and the upcoming 125th anniversary of HELLA are also the occasion for the start of the FORVIA Heritage project. FORVIA Integration Excellence Award: Examples of lived values

Part of the shared FORVIA culture is a strong team and innovation spirit that inspires the combination of the two companies: At locations around the globe and in countless teams, new ways of working together have been and are being worked on ambitiously. This has resulted in numerous ideas, measures and projects, all of which have one thing in common: they are driving forward the growing together of HELLA and Faurecia with visible success. Twelve of them have now been awarded the FORVIA Integration Excellence Award for their achievements in 2023.

All Project ONE teams were eligible to apply for the award; nominations were also possible. From the submissions, the Integration Committee, made up of the members of the FORVIA Executive Committee and the HELLA Management Board, selected a total of twelve winners in three award categories: Teamwork/Collaboration Culture Award, Synergy Delivery Award and Most Impactful Integration Project Award.

"The fact that we are getting better every day, that we are presenting a strong, a joint image to the public, to our customers, to our suppliers – the teams play a major role in this success. This is why I would like to honor their achievements, their commitment and their ideas for FORVIA," says Patrick Koller, FORVIA CEO. Bernard Schäferbarthold, HELLA CEO, also expresses his gratitude to the teams: "For me, they are the best example of what the FORVIA values mean to us and what we can achieve when we live these values together. It is impressive to see what they have achieved within a very short time and how HELLA and Faurecia have merged in the teams." The awards were presented on 31 January 2024 in Lippstadt and Nanterre. And the winners are...

In the "Teamwork/Collaboration Culture Award" category, the following team achievements were honored:

• GBS Collaboration & Integration: for great collaboration across all major Global Business Service functions
• Digitalization (GE/FCE) iTAC: for successfully supporting the implementation of a standardized Manufacturing Execution System at Clarion Electronics, which saved additional development and implementation costs
• Supplier Quality Alignment: for excellent coordination with regard to common processes in supplier quality, which avoids, among other things, double qualification of suppliers
• Purchasing Governance: for the establishment of a joint steering committee for the entire direct purchasing organization

The winners in the "Synergy Delivery Award" category are:

• Purchasing Overall Synergy Achievement: for 2023, largest share (70%) of Project ONE cost synergies
• GIT (Migration of Office 365): for the successful merger of the Faurecia and HELLA IT environments

The awards in the category "Most Impactful Integration Project"

Award" went to:

• CES 2023: for a strong, joint trade show appearance at CES 2023 with technologies from both companies (HELLA and Faurecia) brought together in impressive demonstrators
• FORVIA Excellence System: for the successful merging of FES and HELPs, enhanced by digitalization and sustainability
• Creation of Joint Venture FHS: for the successful establishment of a joint matrix organization and joint ventures for the areas of GIT (Global Information Technology) and IdP (Indirect Purchasing)
• GBS China: for the first FORVIA integration in China
• HELLA Financial Reporting Integration: for the adaptation of the financial reporting and corresponding processes of HELLA and Faurecia
• IdP Organization: for the successful launch of the new indirect purchasing organization (under the joint venture umbrella FHS)
