Today's working environment is undergoing a comprehensive transformation. New methods and approaches are playing an ever greater role, digitalization and higher demands for efficiency, agility and collaboration are continuously driving these changes. "The demand for approaches and tools to improve the way we work is greater than ever. Above all, we see opportunities in this," says Kay Talmi, Head of the Global Software House and Head of Engineering Excellence for HELLA's Electronics business group.
Against this background, the new community "NewWork@HELLA" is now being launched at HELLA; in the future, it will be open to all HELLA employees as an overarching platform. All employees who are interested in topics such as agile methods, digital tools or the general change in the working world can get together and exchange ideas.
A virtual kick-off event was held on May 20. At the event, guest speakers from Volkswagen and Google shared their experiences in implementing NewWork initiatives. In addition to these external keynotes, experts from HELLA and the management consultancy Kugler Maag also offered workshops and breakout sessions. Further information can be found on the NewWork@HELLA Sharepoint.
"It was important for us that we didn't design the inaugural event as a frontal lesson. Rather, we wanted to create an open forum where we can exchange ideas, think creatively, engage in discussion with each other," says Kay Talmi. The plan is to set up a community on the O365 platform Yammer following the kick-off. It is also conceivable that further follow-up events to NewWork@HELLA could be organized, depending on the feedback from the participants.
