With roughly 300 participants, including guests from Stellantis, Renault, Great Wall, Palantir and Google, the first joint Sustainability Day unter the FORVIA brand was a great opportunity to detail all the dimensions of FORVIA’s sustainability approach (focusing on planet, business, people) and showcase flagship innovations contributing to this journey. “We frame everything through the lens of sustainability. Listening to and working with key partners is how we create impactful initiatives, measure progress and accelerate actions to ensure that what’s good business is good for the planet”, says Patrick Koller, Faurecia CEO, who presented FORVIA’s sustainability strategy during the event’s kick off.

Interactive stakeholder exchanges on how to balance business and environmental challenges

During the event, FORVIA shared insights on its NetZero climate targets for instance in panel discussions featuring speakers from Renault who shared customers expectations as well as business partner companies. The company ENGIE for instance provided insights on how they support FORVIA in increasing the energy efficiency at production sites. Veolia presented how they create and distribute recycled plastic materials in general and for selected FORVIA products. In addition, Yann Brillat-Savarin (Executive Vice President Group Strategy and Sustainability at Faurecia), Jean-Paul Michel (Chair of the Governance, Nominations and Sustainability Committee of the Board of Directors of Faurecia and Chairman & CEO of the French energy provider EDF), Rémi Daudin (Faurecia Group Sustainable Materials Division and Vice President Sustainable Transformation), and Anke Sommermeyer (Head of HELLA’s Corporate Sustainability Office), discussed about the FORVIA activities to mitigate climate change. In addition, FORVIA announced two major milestones: the launch of Materi’Act, a company that will develop and manufacture sustainable materials for the automotive industry and beyond, and the signing of the Act4Nature biodiversity commitment by Faurecia.

On the agenda of the insightful day dedicated to sustainability were informative updates, a product exhibition as well as interactive formats: In small roundtable discussions and mini-conferences, customers, suppliers, investors. students and other stakeholders got together with HELLA and Faurecia sustainability experts to discuss how to approach environmental challenges such as climate protection for production sites or in the supply chain or the impact on biodiversity.
