Important step towards customer relations with Chinese OEMs: FORVIA HELLA equips the new premium SUV from OEM Geely with a rear lamp.

On Monday, it was announced that Zeekr will now also expand into the German automotive market. The cooperation with FORVIA HELLA was agreed upon some time ago. This collaboration not only marks the first, strategically important partnership between FORVIA HELLA and Zeekr, but also sets a new standard in design with extraordinary visual effects. The SUV 9X has already been available on the Chinese market since September 29.

Distinctive design and extraordinary visual effects

The rear lamp features a dual horizontal and vertical ring design, visually enhancing the layering at the rear of the vehicle. The upper and lower surfaces create a diamond effect. As night falls, the dynamic lighting effects resemble two flowing light strips. To achieve this unique visual effect, FORVIA HELLA relies on a carefully developed optical design solution: an incomplete parabolic reflector surface combined with a dual laser lighting pattern makes the upper and lower light strips shine like diamonds. For the side star area, materials with lower transparency and high-gloss black lacquering are used, along with an additional laser etching process, so that the left and right sides sparkle like stars.

Ultra-long design and very compact space

The Zeekr 9X model features a split tailgate design. The integrated rear lamp is incorporated into the trunk and extends up to 1.70 meters. In a very compact space, FORVIA HELLA not only integrates various legally required lighting functions such as position lights, brake lights, turn indicators, reverse lights, and fog lights into the rear lamp, but also realizes delicate and smooth dynamic effects such as welcome and farewell animations, as well as unique visual effects.
