Phygital Shields

Our phygital shields transform vehicle front and rear surfaces into intelligent

illuminated interfaces – merging communication, expression, and digital interaction.

Light is the new chrome

Phygital Shields integrate road oriented lighting and sensing behind styled exterior surfaces at the front (FPS) and rear (RPS), delivering a consistent day and night time appearance, compact packaging, and integration simplicity. A one‑piece, modular lens combines high‑pressure forming and foil insert molding to create precise, durable surfaces with metallic effects, color matching, patterns, gradients, inscriptions, or hidden‑until‑lit graphics. Integrated heating safeguards sensor availability in adverse weather. A new approach of outer lens protection with PUR (polyurethane) enables self‑healing and enhances durability. We deliver the complete system as a one‑stop shop, backed by a global development and manufacturing footprint.

Styled surface, smart integration

With our foil insert molding technology we are able to reduce hardware variants and the tolerance chain, enabling up to 50% fewer assembly steps on the OEM’s line while supporting platform reuse. Thin optical concepts deliver uniform, high‑brightness surfaces for signal functions with consistent photometric performance. The Phygital Shield’s thinness enables improved pedestrian protection, and it is becoming a key safety element for energy absorption. It serves as a true integrator: a seamless cover for radar or lidar sensors without compromising performance, and it can be upgraded with displays to add dynamic communication as a key differentiator.

Pixel‑accurate, configurable performance

Displays

Displays

Clear communication meets brand expression exterior displays enabling flexible,

multi‑function visuals from signals to dynamic communication.

MiniLED Display Family: Our high‑resolution LED displays

MiniLED is our high‑resolution exterior LED‑display family. Its fine pixel pitches enable clean typography, precise icons, and smooth animations with homogeneous, daytime‑readable imagery for refined brand signatures. MiniLED combines dynamic V2X communication with homologation‑ready signal functions (PO/DRL, tail, stop, turn), providing a cohesive exterior solution. Our compact, lightweight modules support large surfaces and up to 2.5D curvature across the vehicle front, rear, and side, streamlining integration and enabling design freedom. Options from single‑color to RGB unlock appearance flexibility, while our MiniLED portfolio lets OEMs choose the right fidelity‑to‑area balance, from ultra‑fine detail to more efficient high‑resolution at larger scale.

CMX Display Family: Excellent performance, optimized cost

Our CMX is an exterior LED‑matrix display for low‑ to medium‑resolution automotive applications, offering high design freedom with configurable pixel geometry, size, color, and appearance for brand‑defining styling. It unites homologation‑ready signal functions (PO/DRL, tail, stop, turn) with dynamic communication—symbols, short text, or animations—supporting basic V2X cues. High brightness and homogeneous output deliver clear, daytime‑readable output on large areas. With dual‑axis 3D‑shapeable variants and scalable module concepts, our CMX integrates easily across straight and curved front, rear, and side surfaces, providing a balanced contrast‑to‑resolution ratio at significantly lower system cost than high‑resolution alternatives.

Projectors

Projectors

Light extending beyond the vehicle - creating awareness,

guidance and interaction through high-definition road projections.

DI Projectors: Daytime‑visible, high‑brightness signaling

Direction Indicator (DI) projectors deliver daytime‑visible road projections for safety‑relevant signaling and guidance, using compact multi‑lens optics to create sharp, homogeneous, animated images next to the vehicle. Output reaches up to 2,000 lx per module, supporting three‑step animation and V2X‑aligned communication cues. Their ultra‑slim, lightweight architecture combines a compact optical module with thermal management designed to sustain full output under challenging conditions, enabling flexible packaging and integration at various points around the vehicle body and aligning projection geometry to the near‑vehicle area. The result is a highly efficient, configurable projection solution for next‑generation exterior lighting.

MLA Projectors: Crisp edges, uniform carpets

MLA projectors use dense micro‑lens arrays to create crisp symbols and large homogeneous light carpets with excellent edge sharpness and uniform luminance, even on rough surfaces and at flat projection angles. Projections remain precisely positioned regardless of door motion and continue to operate with minor lens contamination, sustaining clear imagery for stationary, near‑field use. Available in multiple module configurations, MLA supports static and dynamic projection patterns and delivers clean, repeatable imagery for welcome/leaving‑home, courtesy, and guidance scenarios. A compact optical stack supports exterior mounting with consistent photometric quality in the near‑vehicle area.

Radomes & Illuminated Logos

Radomes & Illuminated Logos

Our sensor‑transparent radomes and illuminated logos

merge functionality and branding - engineered for next‑generation vehicles.

Radomes: Radar transparent, weatherproof sensing

Radar domes (radomes) are radar frequency (RF) transparent covers that protect automotive radar sensors of the latest 77GHz generation against external factors while preserving measurement performance, helping maintain detection range and angle accuracy in real‑world conditions. They keep the RF aperture clean and shield against weather and impacts while allowing radar waves to pass. Engineered with low‑loss materials, radar‑permeable finishes, and tight alignment tolerances, our radomes integrate into front styling as brand logos or seamlessly styled panels. Optional heating with automatic de‑icing keeps the window clear in cold, wet weather, and optional integrated illumination enhances night‑time brand presence and delivers a smooth, uniform appearance without compromising sensing.

Illuminated Logos: Distinctive brand identity through lighting.

Illuminated logos turn the emblem into a signature of brand identity - clean, uniform, and instantly recognizable, even within tight package spaces. Slim optical systems create a consistent glow and crisp contours that elevate day‑ and night‑time appearance. Flexible optical approaches adapt to different design languages and mounting positions, while refined cover‑lens treatments enable premium effects such as chrome highlights, color decoration, diffuse looks, or subtle 3D depth effects. Engineered for stability over temperature and lifetime, illuminated logos combine stylistic expression with functional use cases such as welcome and position light, creating a distinctive, consistently illuminated brand signature.
