HELLA in JapanHELLA Japan Inc. is the Japanese subsidiary of the German automotive parts manufacturer, HELLA Japan KGaA Hueck & Co.
HELLA is a global, independent, family-owned company with 29,000 employees at 100 locations in more than 35 countries.
In order to further improve customer satisfaction in the important Japanese market, we expanded and developed the liaison office and incorporated it in June 2006. Comprising an OEM segment and Aftermarket segment, it acts as a connection between customers and HELLA.
The OEM segment is divided into the Electronics Business Division, for products such as sensors, and the Lighting Division, for products such as lights. In technologically-advanced Europe, the products are already used in European vehicles highly appraised for their performance and safety and, by OEM delivery to the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers, this company’s products are being introduced to the Japanese market.
The Aftermarket segment has formed a partnership with a domestic wholesaler with the aim of improving technical support and service for this company’s products. Also, in the “HELLA SERVICE PARTNER” programme, in conjunction with vehicle dealerships (garages), we aim to improve workplace technology and service through technical training and the provision of a variety of information and support. For further customer satisfaction in the Japanese market, we are actively working towards building a stable network whilst incorporating new ideas. Moreover, in the Aftermarket segment, the handling of special parts for trucks, agricultural machinery and construction machinery, known as Special OE, and the field of general industrial equipment using technology developed in Europe for both the Japanese domestic market and exports, has contributed to this development. The regional headquarters for the Aftermarket segment is located in Singapore. The headquarters of HELLA Japan is located in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
