Shanghai, 24 September 2026. International automotive supplier FORVIA HELLA has developed “飞檐虎视 Fei Yan Hu Shi” headlamps for the Geely Galaxy Xingyao7 MAX. The headlamp adopts the new-generation slim lighting module and patented optical technology, and introduces blue metallic‑texture plastic trim, enhancing vehicle safety while creating a sharp and highly distinctive front‑end visual identity. With engineering excellence and best-in-class performance, FORVIA HELLA achieved a perfect balance of technological sophistication, affordability, as well as development and manufacturing efficiency for this lighting system. The vehicle model has been available since May 23, 2026.

“Faced with accelerated product updates, tightening regulations, and increasingly diverse expectations for an upgraded user experience, we fuse technological depth with organizational resilience to provide affordable innovations for OEMs at true China speed and, where possible, to even accelerate it”, says Didier Keskas, Executive Vice President of Business Group Lighting in the Asia Pacific Region and Member of the Board Lighting at FORVIA HELLA. “Our long-standing collaboration with Geely across multiple vehicle platforms, including the Galaxy Xingyao7 MAX headlamp project, reflects a shared vision and genuine cooperation. This partnership, rooted in enduring mutual trust, empowers us to uphold our dual commitment to rapid response and superior quality, enabling customers to seize critical market opportunities with higher industry service standards and optimized total lifecycle costs.”

Highly efficient optical system that defines safety through performance

In the Geely Galaxy Xingyao7 MAX, FORVIA HELLA employs the new-generation slim lighting module and patented optical technology to deliver a precise optical system with an exceptionally slim, lightweight design. The system offers an ultra-wide light field and homogenous illumination, enabling rapid, efficient switching between high and low beams for superior lighting performance and precise lighting control in complex road conditions. This ensures a clear, safe visual environment for drivers while preventing glare for other road users. In terms of lighting functions, the headlamp integrates position lights, turn signals, daytime running lights, and other regulatory functions, maintaining homogenous illumination even in low-power mode. It also supports sophisticated dynamic lighting effects, including welcome and farewell sequences, enhancing the communication experience and the sense of brand ceremony.

With a highly integrated, ultra-thin architecture, the luminous area measures only about 15 millimeters in height, enabling a slim, sharp appearance even in very compact size. This design balances styling flexibility and comprehensive functionality while significantly reducing overall weight of the lamp, advancing vehicle lightweighting and contributing to the vehicle range.

Industry-first series production application of blue metallic-texture plastic trim

Leveraging a unique manufacturing process, FORVIA HELLA has created a metallic-gloss effect on the interior plastic trim of automotive headlamps. This pioneering blue metallic-gloss trim underwent rigorous testing, including durability, sunlight resistance, and thermal cycling, prior to mass production, demonstrating outstanding quality and robustness. The distinctive blue element has become a key visual signature of the vehicle’s front. Within a platform-based approach, it provides a replicable, scalable brand asset for the entire vehicle lineup while ensuring consistency and long-term reliability in series production.

A perfect balance of technological sophistication, affordability, and efficiency in innovation

FORVIA HELLA demonstrated optimized development and manufacturing efficiency in this project, achieving a strong balance of engineering speed, quality control, and cost efficiency. In parallel, quality-forward and concurrent-engineering approaches kept the supply chain and decision-making transparent and precisely coordinated, enabling customers to hit the optimal product-launch window with confidence. This outcome reflects FORVIA HELLA’s extensive experience and mature practices in localized R&D, project management, operational excellence and manufacturing, and cross-company collaboration.

At the product-technology level, this headlamp system delivers a superior balance of spatial utilization, energy efficiency, and light-distribution quality versus common lighting solutions. Built on this technical foundation, it meets high-level road-performance requirements and regulatory standards while maintaining prudent cost control, aligning with mainstream models’ safety and lightweight targets, and supporting differentiated expression in high-end models. Thanks to the more efficient working processes and engineering approaches, FORVIA HELLA accelerates the ramp from development to series production without compromising quality or cost discipline.

For OEMs, this translates into a more reliable delivery cadence and a sharper brand identity; for end users, it delivers safer nighttime illumination, a more premium exterior design, and a heightened sense of ceremony in daily driving.
