FORVIA HELLA receives the prestigious “Best Supply Chain Partner” award from Chery in China

• The award honors FORVIA HELLA's exceptional collaboration by its China team on Chery’s 77 GHz radar project for Chery's overseas programs in Europe

Shanghai, 12 May 2026. International automotive supplier FORVIA HELLA receives the prestigious “Best Supply Chain Partner” award presented by Chery, one of the leading Chinese OEMs, at the 2026 Chery Global Partner Business Summit held in Wuhu, Anhui province, China. The award recognizes FORVIA HELLA's outstanding collaboration by its China team on Chery’s 77 GHz radar project for Chery's localized vehicle models in Europe. The award not only underscores the growing strategic collaboration and global synergy between FORVIA HELLA and Chery, but also represents a new collaborative model at FORVIA HELLA: products are locally developed in China and then scaled outside of China.

FORVIA HELLA leverages more than 20 years of radar expertise, with over 100 million units of its 24 GHz and 77 GHz radar products manufactured globally. ForWave7e, FORVIA HELLA’s seventh-generation 77 GHz radar solution offering cost efficiency with premium performance for Chery, was developed locally by the FORVIA HELLA China team. Subsequent manufacturing and supply will be handled by FORVIA HELLA’s electronics plant in Lithuania after the product’s launch, scheduled for April 2027. The product will be applied to European-localized models produced at Chery’s Spanish plant. This project is a milestone for Chinese-developed automotive technologies expanding globally and reinforces China’s role as a leading position for innovation and export within the FORVIA HELLA network.
