Uncontrolled illumination of the ABS Service- Stop warning light while driving

No error code stored in the control unit

If the above defect is noticed, the cause may be a faulty windshield wiper motor.

The windshield wiper motor creates interference which can result in malfunctions and illumination of the ABS warning light.

Repair notes

In case of repair, we recommend the following procedure:

• Check the anti-blocking system and make sure that there is no other cause for the defect.
• Check the wiper motor and replace if necessary

If the wiper motor is still fully functional, a suppression filter is alternatively offered by the vehicle manufacturer. The filter is incorporated in the electrical connection of the wiper motor and can filter out / suppress such malfunctions.
