Demolition of D1 and production halls begins

At the beginning of January, the entire western area of the plant will be closed for further demolition work. A video impressively shows the demolition work so far.

The buildings on Rixbecker Strasse have been demolished. The remaining buildings on the western plant site will now follow by mid-2024.

Progress is being made at the Lippstadt site. The buildings on Rixbecker Strasse are gone. Work is now also starting on the D1 building and the old production halls on the western site of Plant 1. The teams still working in the offices there will move to their newly refurbished offices on the eastern site of Plant 1 by year end.

Then, at the start of the new year, the entire western part of plant 1 will be cordoned off to allow for a smooth demolition. This applies equally to the D1 building, the "IT corridor" and the parking lots on the western site. The demolition company then works its way from the inside to the outside: First clearing out, sorting, disposing. Then demolish the outer walls by the middle of next year.
