HELLA Road condition sensors directly detects water on the road surface while driving. The Grip and thus, the braking distance is strongly affected by road wetness, road type and tire status. HELLA’S RCS helps to estimate the actual grip by road condition.

SHAKE innovates by using vibration measurement with piezo electric element. The analysis of the signal allows several use cases like:

Road wetness detection
Road condition sensing
Acoustic diagnosis e.g. break squeaking
Road temperature detection, in combination with HELLA Rain Light Sensor
