Within one housing, HELLA Brake System Sensor delivers accurate measurement of brake pedal as well as motor position of the BLDC motor used by the Electro-Hydraulic Braking System.

This system is particularly of importance in electro-hydraulic braking systems to measure the pressure applied by the driver on the pedal and transmit signals to the braking ECU to:

enable energy recuperation for electrified vehicles
enable automated driving functions such as autonomous emergency braking (AEB) or even automated braking in case of Highly automated driving
increase safety by improving time to lock
